Currently, the San Jose Sharks are tied for 1st atop the Western Conference while he Oilers are a full 31 points behind sitting last place in the conference. The Oilers have managed a single point out of this season series with a shootout loss in the first match-up: Game 26 - Oilers vs. Sharks. The Oilers lost the second game by a margin of 4-1 with the game-winning goal coming in the first period from Douglas Murray of all players: Game 42 - Oilers vs. Sharks. For Oilers fans, there's still some excitement left in this season. To start with, there's the upcoming March 3rd trade deadline and the possibility that the Oilers might be able to free up some cap space by moving some vets. Secondly, there's the 2010 draft which brings hope that the Oilers might bring in Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, or Cam Fowlwer. Outside of these events, there's the remote chance that the Oilers might be able to win a game here or there. As well, there's no shortage of development to watch since that's the product on the ice.
